UC Campuses

The university has four campuses, three of which are located in different parts of Santiago and one in the city of Villarrica, in southern Chile.

Casa Central (Main Campus)


Av Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins 340, Santiago.

Given its grandness, the main building was named University Palace. Early works were completed in 1912. It houses the Academic Board, the main administrative offices and the Faculties of Medicine, Biological Sciences, Law and Communications Science. It is close to the Universidad Catolica Metro station.

Campus Lo Contador


El Comendador 1916, Providencia.

Old eighteenth century farmhouse contemporary with other major works in Santiago such as the Calicanto Bridge. The big house is a national monument that is part of Santiago’s architectural heritage. It houses the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Studies.

Campus Oriente


Av. Jaime Guzmán Errázuriz 3300, Providencia.

The building is over 70 years old. It belonged to the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, commonly known as the “French Nuns”. It houses the Faculty of Arts and the Institute of Aesthetics.

Campus San Joaquín


Av. Vicuña Mackenna 4860, Macul.

It was included in the University’s estate in 1894 thanks to a bequeathment by Honoria Gandarillas from part of her Macul farms (first division of the Macul farm and the Hijuela San Joaquín). The campus has a very modern infrastructure and it houses the Faculties of Agriculture and Forestry, Economics and Administrative Science, Social Sciences, Education, Philosophy, Physics, History, Geography and Political Science, Engineering, Literature, Mathematics, Chemistry, Theology, School of Nursing and the Undergraduate College.

Campus Villarrica


O’Higgins 501, Villarrica.

This modern building was built in 2001. Most activities related to academic programs, management and administration are conducted here.
