UC Doctoral Community

The Doctoral Community includes all the members who promote and supervise the doctoral training process as well as their students.


This community is composed by:

  • Students and their peers
  • Professors with different roles, from thesis directors to faculty, among others.
  • The research ecosystem, consisting of the physical infrastructure, services and support systems offered by UC (regulatory frameworks, Student Health, Center for Teacher Development, CARA, UC Libraries, Ombudsman, General Secretariat, the Graduate School of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for Research, among others).

The Graduate School has the mission of ensuring the strategic and comprehensive development of the University's doctoral training. We contribute to the design and implementation of policies and mechanisms that, together with academic units, ensure the quality of UC doctoral programs, and promote the training of autonomous and excellent researchers and researchers.
