The Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile has 137 years of experience, standing out both in Chile and Latin America for its academic excellence, benefits, scholarships, infrastructure, and international projection, through strategic alliances with major universities worldwide. Paula Núñez: “Descubrí que las propiedades antibacterianas de la miel son únicas, su potencial en componentes bioactivos puede ser de gran utilidad en la salud del ser humano”.
Paulo Zepeda: “Desde el punto de vista de la genómica, las características de la rata negra son súper relevantes. ¿Qué la hizo salir de India y venir a Sudamérica? ¿Qué hace que un roedor quiera colonizar el mundo?”
Martín Muñoz: “Tenemos un algoritmo que recibe una consulta de un usuario, sobre una colección masiva de datos que éste posee y usando este lenguaje de programación obtiene todas las respuestas posibles sobre el tema consultado”.

Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies is responsible for developing and implementing the University's doctoral training, research and creation, innovation, and transfer policies, as well as its national and international collaboration policies for research and postgraduate studies. It also promotes and implements academic policies related to publications, artistic creation, intellectual property, and all multidisciplinary research and knowledge development at UC Chile and its regional centers and stations.
