International Doctorate in Contemporary Humanism


Objective

Provide the doctoral student with a research experience in a humanistic and multicultural environment, through a co-tutoring stay leading to a double degree, at one of the universities belonging to the International Program of Contemporary Humanism: Libera Universita ‘Maria SS . Assunta (LUMSA, Rome, Italy), Institute Catholique de Paris (IPC, Paris, France), Australian Catholic University (ACU, Australia) and Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP, Portugal).

Requirements

  1. Be a regular student of one of the indicated Doctoral Programs.
  2. Being a Doctor Candidate: have the candidacy examination and thesis project approved at the time of application
  3. Be studying, at most, the 6th. semester of your doctoral studies
  4. Prove a good academic record (PPA and progression of studies).
  5. Accredit the command of the English language or the language required by the University where the stay will be made.
  6. Have the support of the Thesis Director and the Head of the Doctoral Program.
  7. Indicate the institution of preference for the internship and, if possible, an academic with whom you will develop the research.

Benefits

  • A scholarship to carry out a co-tutoring stay in one of the universities attached to the agreement and that has accepted the student in the application process (LUMSA, IPC, ACU, UCP)
  • The allocation contemplates an amount of up to USD 8,000 (*) for the period of the indicated stay.
  • Roundtrip airfare in economy class, from Santiago to the destination city for a maximum of USD $ 1,500.
  • Payment of health insurance, for a maximum annual amount of USD $ 800.
    One-time financing for a maximum amount of 1,000,000 CLP, destined to the expenses and/or stay of a visiting professor, preferably to the defense of the thesis
  • Graduates of this program will obtain, in addition to the degree of doctor UC.
