The UC Graduate School of the Vice-Presidency for Research invites you to participate in the 2023 UC Virtual Doctorate Open House, which will be on Wednesday, July 19th. Throughout this virtual event, you will have the opportunity to explore our 39 different doctoral programs, which are 100% accredited by the National Accreditation Commission (CNA-Chile), guaranteeing an excellent research training with rigorous quality standards. You will also have the possibility to speak with prominent academics about different lines of research, providing you with the necessary guidance to select the right program, as well as answering all questions you might have. In addition, you will be able to find out about available funding opportunities, share training experiences with current students and graduates, and discover the impact of obtaining a doctoral degree at one of the best universities in Chile and Latin America. Counting with more than 2,500 graduates since 1935, with 180 of them obtaining a double degree at internationally renowned universities in the last 12 years, our trajectory supports the quality and relevance of our programs. What is the UC Doctorate Virtual Open House?

This is a virtual experience created especially for all those who are interested in training as researchers at UC. The UC Doctorate Virtual Open House aims to present the opportunities we offer to obtain a doctoral degree in diverse research areas. Here, we provide information and guidance about the different research environment we have, as well as funding alternatives and internationalization opportunities available at UC|Chile.

Participants of this unique experience will find everything they need to know about what it means to study a doctoral program at the # 1 University in Latin America for the 6th consecutive year, according to the 2023 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Latin America ranking. In addition, they will the opportunity to virtually speak with some current doctoral students and graduates from different programs, in order to learn from first-hand about the training experience at UC|Chile and the possibilities our graduates have for cultivating their careers both in academia and in industry.

 

How can I join in?

Registration dates: starting from Monday, June 19th, until Friday, July 14th. We will open the registration form shortly.

Events: Presentation from UC Graduate School | Wednesday, July 19th, at 10:00 am (GMT -04:00).

Activities with doctoral programs | Thursday, July 20th and Friday, July 21st.

This virtual event is free of charge with prior registration, open for all who are interested. We will publish our activity program shortly.
