Competitive Funds for Internationalization

  • Joint doctoral supervision: financing joint doctoral supervision internships, preferably aimed at obtaining a double degree or a joint degree in foreign universities and research centers of excellence.
  • Stays abroad for students preparing dissertations: this fosters international and intercultural integration in research and training of UC doctoral students through internships of one to six months abroad.
  • Support for doctoral candidates to attend international meetings: partial funding for travel expenses, lodging and / or registration for students who present papers at international events.
  • Visiting Professor for PhD dissertations: funding for visits by professors of international repute who participate in the Exam of a PhD Candidate or the dissertation defense of UC doctoral students.
  • Academic Exchange Program Catholic University – Notre Dame University – Boston College and Rome Pontifical Universities: Funding for short internships for academics and doctoral students who want to consolidate projects and do research and/ or teach at the partner institutions.
  • 3 Minute Dissertation Contest (3MT® UC): in this competition doctoral students have three minutes to demonstrate their research communication skills in English on the subject of their dissertation.
