Doctor in  Government of Cornell University. Her area of specialization is comparative politics and her regional focus is Latin America. She researches issues related to the presidency and gender.  Her PhD thesis “Presidents, Power and Pro-Women Change” won the American Political Science Association (APSA) award for best thesis in the category of women and politics. She has a special interest in gender stereotypes, corruption, and moral integrity.
